Xaman wallet guide (formerly Xumm)

What is Xaman wallet?

Xaman wallet is a self-custody app for the XRP Ledger. You hold the keys. It sends XRP and issued tokens, signs trustlines, and signs NFT offers. The same product used to be called Xumm wallet — if a tutorial still says Xumm, it means Xaman.

Pixelverse uses Xaman for Xaman wallet login: you approve a SignIn payload. We never see your seed.

Is Xaman wallet safe?

Xaman is built as self-custody. That is safer than leaving XRP on an exchange, and riskier than doing nothing with a leaked screenshot of your backup.

• Write the secret numbers / seed on paper. Do not screenshot them.
• Only approve payloads you opened from a site you trust (this one is pixelversexrpl.com).
• Enable a passcode / biometrics on the phone.
• Treat anyone asking you to “verify” by typing the seed as a scam.

Is Xaman wallet decentralized? The ledger is. The app is software from XRPL Labs. Your funds are not custodied by Pixelverse.

Is Xaman a cold wallet?

Usually no. A hardware wallet (Ledger and similar) keeps keys offline. Xaman on a phone is an online self-custody wallet: convenient for daily XRPL use, NFT claims, and dApp sign-in. If you need maximum isolation, keep a large stack on hardware and a small Xaman account for minting and utilities.

Xaman vs Xumm wallet

There is no separate “Xumm vs Xaman” product split for new users. Xumm was rebranded to Xaman. Downloads may still show old names in stores or articles. Your r-address and account stay the same after the rename.

How to use Xaman wallet

1. Install Xaman from the official App Store or Google Play.
2. Create an account or import an existing XRPL account.
3. Fund a small XRP reserve so the account can exist on-ledger.
4. To use Pixelverse: tap Sign in with Xaman, approve SignIn, then customize and mint.

Xaman wallet login on Pixelverse does not use a username/password. The wallet is the login.

Xaman wallet for PC and extension

Xaman is mobile-first. On desktop, Pixelverse opens a Xaman sign payload in the browser; you approve it in the phone app (or import the link). For a dedicated desktop extension see the XRPL wallet guide and Sign in with Crossmark on the homepage.

Fees

XRPL network fees are typically a fraction of a drop of XRP. Xaman may show a service fee on some payload types. Minting a Pixelverse NFT is designed as a free mint for eligible wallets; you still need XRP for reserves and any trustline / claim offer you sign.
