Testnet vs Mainnet

• Testnet — public practice ledger. Same NFToken, Payment, and TrustSet types. Balances are worthless. State can be wiped.
• Mainnet — real XRP, issued tokens, Pixelverse NFTs. You fund the reserve yourself. No faucet.
• Devnet — even less stable; for amendment experiments. Skip it until Testnet is boring.

Wallets such as Xaman can switch networks. Pixelverse login and mint are Mainnet. Do not send Testnet seeds or Testnet XRP to this site.

XRPL faucet

The Testnet faucet creates (or funds) an account on s.altnet.rippletest.net. Rate limits apply; if it 429s, wait and retry. In code:

JSON-RPC: https://s.altnet.rippletest.net:51234/. WebSocket: wss://s.altnet.rippletest.net:51233. Mainnet public reads often use https://s2.ripple.com:51234/ or https://xrplcluster.com/. Holders can use our rippled after mint.

What to practice

1. Fund a Testnet account from the faucet.
2. Send a tiny Payment to a second Testnet wallet.
3. Watch ledger_index tick — same heartbeat as Mainnet, without the reserve cost.
4. When that is dull, fund a real XRPL wallet and mint on Pixelverse.

Pulse will not show Testnet. It is our Mainnet node: live ledger age, typical fee, 90-day CSV. Use it when you move over so you know the fee you will actually pay.
