What an XRPL wallet actually is
It is software that stores keys for an r… account on XRPL. Exchange apps are not the same: they often share one ledger account and use destination tags. A self-custody XRPL wallet lets you sign trustlines, DEX trades, and NFT offers yourself.
Best XRPL wallet by use case
- Xaman (formerly Xumm) — best default on phone. SignIn payloads, NFTs, daily XRPL use. Full Xaman wallet guide.
- Crossmark — best desktop dApp wallet (Chrome extension). Pixelverse has a Sign in with Crossmark button for browser users.
- Hardware (e.g. Ledger) — extra isolation for large XRP balances. Many people keep a small hot wallet (Xaman/Crossmark) for mints and a cold account for the stack.
“Best XRPL wallet” is not one app for everyone. If you mint on Pixelverse from a phone, use Xaman. If you live in the browser, use Crossmark. You can use both with different accounts.
How to set one up
- Install Xaman or Crossmark from the official store only.
- Write the backup down. Never type it into a website.
- Send enough XRP to activate the account (reserve). Until then the address exists as a number, not as a funded ledger object.
- Open pixelversexrpl.com and sign in. Approve the payload in the wallet — that is login.
Tokens and NFTs in the same wallet
Issued tokens need a trustline. NFTs are NFTokens on the same account. After a Pixelverse mint you claim a 0-XRP offer in Xaman or on xrp.cafe. Trading issued tokens happens on the XRPL DEX.
Connect the XRPL wallet you already trust — Xaman or Crossmark — and mint.
