XRPL NFTs explained

An XRPL NFT is not “an XRP with a picture.” It is an NFToken on the XRP Ledger: unique, transferable, with optional royalties — and Pixelverse is one of those collections.

Does XRP have NFTs?

People search “does XRP have an NFT?” because XRP and XRPL get mixed up. XRP is the currency. XRPL is the ledger. NFTs on XRPL are NFToken objects. You mint, hold, buy, sell, or burn them with ledger transactions — often signed in an XRPL NFT wallet such as Xaman.

How an NFT on XRPL is stored

The token object lives on-ledger. The artwork usually lives on IPFS; the NFToken URI points at metadata (name, image, traits). Pixelverse pins image + JSON to IPFS, then sets that URI on mint. That is the same pattern as other XRPL NFT projects, just automated from the dashboard.

XRPL NFT marketplace options

You do not need Ethereum or OpenSea. Typical venues:

  • XPMarket — XRPL NFT marketplace and token pages (including PIXELVERSE).
  • xrp.cafe — trade tokens and NFTs; Pixelverse sends claimers here for the 0-XRP offer.

Broker/royalty rules are native to NFToken offers, which is why XRPL NFT trading feels different from EVM marketplaces.

XRPL NFT wallet

Any XRPL account can hold NFTokens. In practice you want a wallet that can sign NFTokenCreateOffer / accept-offer payloads. Pixelverse’s path is Xaman wallet.

Pixelverse as an XRPL NFT collection

Pixelverse is a 10,000 custom NFT collection on XRPL: trait-based art, Xaman or Crossmark login, and holder utilities such as rippled access. Read how to mint or about the project.

Browse the collection by minting your own — free for early wallets.
