Is XRPL a coin?

No. XRPL is the XRP Ledger — a public network. People search “XRPL coin” and “how to buy XRPL” because the acronym looks like a ticker. Here is what you actually buy, and how Pixelverse fits.

How to buy XRPL

You don’t. There is nothing named XRPL to withdraw from Coinbase or Binance. You buy XRP, send it to a self-custody XRPL wallet, and then the ledger can hold XRP, issued tokens, and NFTs in the same account.

  1. Buy XRP on an exchange that lists XRP.
  2. Withdraw to your own r-address in Xaman or Crossmark. If the exchange asks for a destination tag, that tag is for their deposit book — your personal wallet does not need one.
  3. Keep enough XRP for the account reserve (currently 1 XRP base, plus a little per object such as a trustline or NFT). Fees on top are tiny.
  4. For a token such as PIXELVERSE, set a trustline and buy on the XRPL DEX. For an NFT, mint or claim an NFToken.

Is XRPL on Coinbase?

Coinbase lists XRP. It does not list “XRPL.” Once you withdraw XRP to an r-address you control, that balance lives on the XRP Ledger. That is the whole trick: the exchange is a door. XRPL is the room.

Is XRP the same as XRPL?

No. Same family of names, three different things — we spell this out in what XRPL is:

  • XRPL — the ledger (payments, DEX, issued tokens, NFTs).
  • XRP — the native asset. Reserves and fees are paid in XRP.
  • Ripple — a company. It does not own your account or Pixelverse.

If a site sells you an “XRPL coin” with a random issuer, treat the ticker as decoration. On XRPL the issuer address is the identity.

Is there a real token on XRPL?

Yes. XRP is native. Issued tokens are IOUs on trustlines — PIXELVERSE is one of those. XRPL NFTs are a third object type: NFTokens, not coins. Pixelverse mints a custom NFToken and can gate later mints on holding $PIXELVERSE.

Typical network fees are a fraction of a drop of XRP. We do not ask you to trust that slogan. XRPL Pulse is our node’s live fee and ledger age, plus 90 days of history. That is why trying a trustline or an NFT here is cheap enough to be curiosity, not a gas thesis.
